How is Glacial Gold able to offer unparalleled value, and such accessible pricing?
We put the emphasis where it matters most. Product quality and consumption experience, not elaborate promotions or premium packaging.
In May 2021, Nextleaf Solutions acquired all rights associated with Glacial Gold. Nextleaf owns the Health Canada Licensed Processing Facility Nextleaf Labs, the world’s most innovative cannabis refinery, where all distillate-based ingredients for Glacial Gold products are produced.
With valued partners in BC supplying low-cost input biomass, and direct access to high-efficiency ingredient processing technology, Nextleaf is able to position the Glacial Gold brand as a price-point & value leader in all large volume formats (with 1g+ distillate per unit).
Glacial Gold will leverage the extensive IP portfolio owned by Nextleaf Solutions, as well as the highly experienced team of researchers, formulators, and quality assurance professionals, many of whom have been intimately familiar with Glacial Gold since its inception.
How did you decide on the initial product assortment, and what products can we expect in the future?
We’ve intentionally chosen to launch with a product assortment that appeals to the widest audience including both confident and novice cannabis consumers as our vision is for Glacial Gold to be an accessible brand for everyone.
As the brand establishes itself in the legal, adult-use market we intended to launch speciality concentrates such as dabs, wax, shatter, and other innovative formats that may be more suitable for specific consumers and consumption occasions, or curious consumers looking to expand their horizons. Our award-winning prohibition-era concentrates, and specialty extracts are too good not to share!
Where do you source your ingredients and materials from?
Our input biomass used to create our high purity distillate is predominantly sourced from preferred partners with cultivation sites in B.C.
For example, our guaranteed pesticide-free hemp supplier is in the Fraser Valley, and outdoor crops are fed by glacial waters of the B.C. mountains, allowing us to honor Glacial Gold’s legacy and keeping it a truly authentic B.C. brand from soil to oil.
To-date we have been able to work with local talent and vendors for everything from our label printing, to packaging design, and terpene formulation.
What is the difference between THC and CBD? How do I know which cannabinoid profile is right for me?
THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), is the predominant psychoactive constituent of cannabis, providing the intoxicating or ‘euphoric high’ commonly associated with cannabis. THC is the most abundant cannabinoid found in most cannabis cultivars.
CBD (Cannabidiol) is the second most prevalent cannabinoid found in cannabis and is predominantly sourced from hemp cultivars, classified as containing less than 0.03% THC. CBD is non-intoxicating.
Products featuring CBD are a great place to start if you are canna-curious or have low-tolerance for THC. This would include our Distilled CBD 50 Oil, Distilled CBD 100 Oil, and Distilled CBD 200 Oil.
A blend of CBD and THC would offer a mildly intoxicating experience and is suitable for those with moderate tolerance for THC. We offer our Distilled 30:30 Oil, and our Anytime 1:1 Vape in balanced CBD:THC profiles.
THC dominant products offer the highest potency for those with established tolerance, or experienced consumers. This includes our Distilled THC 30 Oil, and our Session THC Vape.
Note: all our products are intended for recreational consumption, not medical.
